Normalising and Annealing
Normalising is carried out by taking materials above their critical temperature and allowing them to cool in air to remove residual stresses. Annealing is carried out in the same way but is followed by a slow cooling process that produces a fully softened structure in the material.

We … More had a great many sixty-year-old 'atomic' style wire items (plant stands, magazine racks, fruit bowls, etc) in the full range of sizes that needed the complete blasting/coating treatment. We also had bare metal shades and bases from a dozen vintage lamps for powder coating. Keith and James at CBS didn't bat an eyelid when presented with this random collection and proceeded to make an absolutely sterling job of it all. We will be back! -
